Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid and active Connecticut School Psychologist License (required)
- Previous experience within a school setting preferred
- Solid understanding of academic and behavioral assessment tools
- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in all student interactions
- Capacity to adapt strategies for diverse populations and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct counseling and interventions for students
- Offer consultation to families and staff regarding student needs and strategies for success
- Participate actively in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
