Make a meaningful impact supporting students from early childhood to 8th grade as a School Psychologist at a welcoming school near Buffalo Grove, IL. In this contract position, your expertise will foster students’ academic, emotional, and social growth while you collaborate closely with educators and families.
Your role will split time: completing ECAT evaluations and attending meetings for early childhood, and traditional school psychologist responsibilities in another nearby setting. The caseload size will vary, allowing for a dynamic experience working with a range of student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist credential required
- Experience with ECAT evaluations (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Background working with students from early childhood through 8th grade is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and ECAT evaluations
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, including IEP and eligibility discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support student development
- Design and implement intervention strategies to address academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges
- Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed
- Split duties between early childhood evaluations and standard school psychologist functions in another school
Schedule and Caseload:
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Serve a diverse group of students with a caseload that will vary
