School Psychologist in Waukegan, IL

This contract position offers the chance to work as a School Psychologist, serving a diverse student population in an elementary environment. The assignment begins August 19th and runs through May 26th, with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek and the opportunity for onsite or hybrid work arrangements.
Bring your expertise to a collaborative educational team focused on student growth and positive school culture. As a Preschool Psychologist based at an elementary school, you will be involved in grade-level evaluation, consultation, and support—impacting multiple schools or grades, depending on caseload.
Requirements:
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Compliance with all state and district-specific qualifications for school psychologists
- Experience or comfort serving preschool and elementary-aged students
- Flexibility to provide services onsite or in a hybrid format as needed
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational assessments and reports for designated grade levels and referral cases
- Serve as a resource to school staff and families, contributing to positive behavioral interventions and academic planning
- Provide consultation services to teachers and parents around student development and learning differences
- Support implementation of IEP and 504 plans
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams and school-based meetings
- Manage a dynamic caseload that could span one or multiple school sites
