School Psychologist in Weatherford, TX
Make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of students as you lend your expertise across five campuses during the 2026–2027 school year. This contract role is designed for dedicated school psychologists who excel in providing comprehensive support in the elementary and middle school settings. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, evaluate, and devise interventions that foster student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or an Associate School Psychologist credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Experience working in school environments, preferably supporting both elementary and middle school students
- Skilled in conducting evaluations and providing services for Autism Spectrum Disorder (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairment (OHI), including ADHD
- Strong background in functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and developing/implementing behavioral intervention plans (BIPs)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish/English is highly valued
- Must complete or verify fingerprints through the Texas Education Agency (TEA); allow up to 10 business days for processing
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as an itinerant school psychologist for five campuses, managing a caseload primarily at the elementary level with some middle school involvement
- Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support the identification and recommended services for AU, ED, and OHI
- Provide direct services, consult with educators and families, and collaborate on intervention planning and progress monitoring
- Develop and monitor FBAs, BIPs, and individualized education plans as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, ethical, and timely documentation
This is an on-site opportunity (not open to virtual/remote work) with a schedule of 35 hours per week, running from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027.
