Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students by providing essential psychological services. As a licensed School Psychologist in North Carolina, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and assisting students with diverse needs. This position is based near Weaverville, NC, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through May 22, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina School Psychologist license
- Background working with K-12 populations
- Strong proficiency in cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral testing protocols
- Understanding of eligibility requirements for Exceptional Children (EC) programs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive assessments to determine eligibility for EC programs and complete reevaluation testing
- Conduct various screenings, including cognitive, adaptive, behavioral, and other specialized evaluations
- Interpret results and prepare detailed reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to recommend appropriate interventions and services
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow timelines for all required testing
- Manage a caseload spanning multiple grade levels as assigned
- Provide insights and guidance to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students
You’ll enjoy a highly competitive pay rate starting at $40 per hour, working 37.5 hours per week across a standard five-day schedule.
