Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid NY State School Psychologist Certification is required
- Prior experience in school settings highly desirable
- Proficiency in conducting initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and comprehensive testing
- Experience implementing and supporting MTSS systems
- Strong skills in individual and group counseling for K-12 students
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
- Available for a full-time, onsite commitment (37.5 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret psycho-educational assessments for students
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Support the development and implementation of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and intervention planning
