Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required
- At least two years of supervised internship or equivalent experience in school psychology
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- Strong skills conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting data
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling for diverse student populations
- Clear, professional communication abilities for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Tech-savvy with ability to maintain detailed records, prepare reports, and utilize required educational platforms
- Ability to coordinate crisis intervention efforts and manage crisis response as needed
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving a variety of equipment; must be able to sit, stand, and occasionally lift up to ten pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, score, and interpret psychoeducational evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
- Communicate evaluation findings to parents and staff
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health
- Consult and collaborate with educational teams to facilitate positive learning environments and behaviors
- Participate actively in IEP development and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Coordinate crisis management and intervention at school or district levels
- Liaise with external agencies for comprehensive student support
- Conduct training and in-service sessions for teachers and parents
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations
