Help make an impact in the lives of students by providing essential school psychological services in a dynamic educational setting near West Columbia, SC. This contract opportunity offers a blend of onsite and virtual openings for skilled School Psychologists to collaborate closely with a dedicated team, supporting student success and well-being across a range of academic and mental health needs from August 2026 to May 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a master’s degree in school psychology
- Minimum two years of experience (including internship) in a school psychologist capacity
- Valid state certification as a School Psychologist
- Expertise conducting comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong skills in individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention
- Comfort with coordinating and presenting in multi-disciplinary meetings (IEPs, placement committees)
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
- Proficiency in preparing psychological reports, maintaining records, and utilizing educational technology
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational evaluations to inform special education eligibility and student support
- Provide direct mental health services, including one-on-one and group counseling
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster positive academic and behavioral outcomes
- Lead and participate in crisis management and intervention efforts at the school and district level
- Contribute to in-service training for staff and family engagement
- Prepare documentation and forms for assessments, meetings, and required reporting
Additional Details:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
- Five positions available; onsite opportunities and up to two virtual (remote) roles
- Virtual candidates will participate in a screening call prior to placement
