School Psychologist in Westfield, MA
Step into a pivotal role supporting students in grades 5 through 12 as a School Psychologist in a contract position with an immediate start date through June 11, 2027. Work across two school sites, where your expertise in psychological testing and evaluations will directly impact the academic and social success of approximately 100 students. This full-time opportunity offers a structured schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, averaging 7 hours per day.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist licensure/certification
- Proven background in psychological testing, assessment, and evaluations
- Experience working with middle and high school students (grades 5-12) preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse evaluation caseload
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students in grades 5-12
- Collaborate with educators and related services personnel on intervention strategies
- Interpret assessment results and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Provide consultation services to staff and parents/guardians regarding student needs
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Serve across two school sites, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for secondary learners
