Key Qualifications:
- Current Delaware School Psychologist license required
- Experience in K-5 educational settings is highly valued
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Comfortable working onsite with students, educators, and families
- Willingness to complete required background checks, including CBC fingerprinting (candidates must cover an $85 fee)
Position Details:
- Commitment starting as soon as possible through June 8, 2027
- Full-time hours: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Serve at a supportive elementary school environment
- Manage caseloads encompassing assessment, intervention, and ongoing consultation
- Emphasize positive behavioral supports and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop intervention strategies to support academic, social, and emotional growth
- Partner with teachers and families for student advocacy and program planning
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and compliance measures
- Assist in school-wide initiatives around mental health and well-being
