School Psychologist in Winnetka, IL
Experience professional fulfillment while making a meaningful difference as a contract School Psychologist supporting students from early childhood through high school. This full-time opportunity runs from August 26, 2026 to June 11, 2027, with hours scheduled Monday through Friday. Licensed practitioners in Illinois can look forward to engaging and varied work within a collaborative educational environment.
You'll have the opportunity to work with an elementary, middle, and high school caseload, focusing primarily on conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments. There will also be some participation in initial evaluations, providing a comprehensive experience across multiple grade levels.
Multiple caseload types are available based on your expertise:
- Early Childhood: Part-time (three days per week, 0.6 FTE) screening and evaluating preschoolers aged three to five at various preschools. Effective communication with families, special education partners, and team members is crucial. You'll attend IEP meetings and support families who are new to this process, ensuring clarity and compassion throughout.
- Grades K-4: Full-time (1.0 FTE, five days per week) responsibilities include conducting student evaluations, facilitating MTSS data team meetings, problem-solving, supporting the IEP process, and facilitating both initial and re-evaluation IEP meetings for students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Expertise in special education law and best practices is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist license
- Experience conducting evaluations and re-evaluations at multiple grade levels
- Familiarity with special education law and early childhood evaluations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel locally between sites as needed
