Step into an impactful role as a school psychologist for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year serving a K-12 population near Yeso, NM! This full-time, four-day-a-week contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a manageable caseload of 20-25 students, most with mild needs and some non-verbal. Your expertise will support students’ emotional, social, and academic success in a collaborative educational environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in K-12 settings highly desired
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and intervention strategies
- Comfortable supporting a range of student abilities, including non-verbal individuals
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work alongside teachers and families
- Ability to commit to a four-day workweek (7:30 am – 4:30 pm) throughout the full school year
- Willingness to work exclusively onsite; virtual/remote options are not available
What you’ll do:
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and assessments for students as needed
- Develop and implement individualized student plans in coordination with educators and families
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention when necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Offer support and consultation for school staff regarding student mental health and learning needs
- Maintain thorough and confidential documentation
