Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites as a School Psychologist. This position focuses on discipline-related requests and provides services as a key member of the multidisciplinary team from August 18, 2026, through May 24, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists
- Proven expertise in psychoeducational evaluations, IDEA compliance, and assessment data interpretation
- Experience writing comprehensive, actionable evaluation reports
- Familiarity with special education eligibility and multidisciplinary processes
- Capacity to communicate assessment results with clarity and professionalism to families and educational staff
- Excellent organization and time management, ensuring evaluation timelines are met
- Collaborative approach with educational diagnosticians, social workers, and related professionals
- Bilingual ability is a plus
- District background check and fingerprinting required
- Must pass a technology screening before final placement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, identifying and addressing students’ academic and behavioral needs
- Conduct thorough educational assessments; deliver timely, accurate, and detailed reports
- Serve as a resource to families, facilitating referrals to appropriate community services
- Collaborate with school personnel to devise and implement strategies for student success
- Maintain comprehensive, confidential records and all required documentation for program accountability
- Explain assessment processes and interpret results to stakeholders with compassion and accuracy
- Engage in ongoing professional development and in-service training
