Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to provide remote psychological services and support for students within a school-based setting in Lancaster, California. This independent contractor role offers the flexibility of working remotely while making a meaningful impact on students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment, consultation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychoeducational assessments and evaluations
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
- Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, social, and emotional interventions
- Support eligibility determinations and special education processes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff to develop student-centered strategies
- Utilize virtual platforms and technology effectively to deliver services remotely
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Active California School Psychologist credential/licensure required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and assessment practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload responsibilities remotely
- Reliable internet connection and access to secure remote work technology
