Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and student-focused Virtual School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students across Minnesota for the 2026–2027 school year. This fully remote position supports special education teams, students, families, and school staff through virtual assessment, consultation, and intervention services while ensuring compliance with Minnesota and federal special education regulations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual comprehensive special education evaluations and reevaluations in accordance with Minnesota special education criteria and timelines.
  • Administer, score, interpret, and report psychoeducational assessments using approved virtual assessment tools and procedures.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive evaluation reports and eligibility documentation.
  • Participate in evaluation planning meetings, eligibility determination meetings, IEP meetings, and manifestation determination meetings.
  • Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health concerns.
  • Assist in developing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Analyze student data and provide evidence-based recommendations for interventions and supports.
  • Support compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, and Minnesota Department of Education requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service records, evaluation documentation, and case management responsibilities as assigned.
  • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and ongoing program improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education Specialist (Ed.S.), Master's degree, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Current Minnesota School Psychologist license issued by the Minnesota Board of Psychology or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minnesota Department of Education School Psychologist credential or eligibility to obtain appropriate school-based credentials.
  • Minimum of two years of school-based experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota special education eligibility criteria and due process requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and educational technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing tele-assessment or virtual school psychology services.
  • Experience supporting students in online or hybrid educational settings.
  • Familiarity with virtual administration of cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments.
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
