Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Strong skills in providing counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation
- Ability to create and implement IEPs and behavioral interventions
- Knowledge of special education laws and compliance
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services
- Deliver individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention strategies
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, parent conferences, and staff development sessions
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with district and state requirements
- Promote positive behavior supports and a safe, inclusive school climate
