Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience performing psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention planning within a K-12 setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and report-writing skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education eligibility evaluations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ cognitive, academic, and behavioral functioning
- Develop and help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment data and team input
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students and staff
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies promoting well-being and academic success
- Support positive behavioral interventions and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
- Complete thorough documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
