Seeking an experienced School Psychologist to provide valuable support for students and staff in a dynamic school-based environment near Athens, AL. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a committed educational team to ensure students' social, emotional, and academic well-being.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state
- Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of psychological assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies
- Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to a dynamic schedule
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding strategies to support students’ learning and behavior
- Deliver individual and group counseling for students as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education and intervention plans
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) and special education eligibility processes
- Facilitate crisis intervention and provide consultative services during emergencies
- Ensure all documentation, reports, and records meet district, state, and federal guidelines
