Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students at the NOVA Center in the role of a School Psychologist or School Social Worker. This full-time, onsite assignment is designed to cover a maternity leave, running from November 1, 2026, to January 29, 2027. You’ll work with a caseload of approximately 40 students, making a direct impact as part of a dedicated team focused on student well-being and success.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Current and valid CDE license (essential for consideration)
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist or Social Worker within a school setting
- Standout communication and interview skills, including the ability to clearly articulate your background and expertise
- Engaging, upbeat, and energetic presence, with a genuine passion for supporting students
- Exceptional organizational and case management abilities to oversee a moderate caseload
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative psychological or social work services to students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and progress
- Conduct assessments, implement interventions, and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation
- Foster a positive environment conducive to student growth and emotional well-being
