Key Qualifications:
- Active state certification/licensure as a school psychologist
- Demonstrated experience providing school psychology services in elementary settings
- Proficiency in initial evaluations and re-evaluations, including report writing and assessment tools
- Knowledge of IEP procedures, special education law, and best practices for working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with colleagues, teachers, and families
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for initial and re-evaluation cases
- Interpret assessment results to inform IEP teams and support student goals
- Provide consultation and recommendations to educators on behavioral, academic, and mental health interventions
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings and provide insights for programming decisions
- Collaborate closely with fellow school psychologists and multidisciplinary teams within the district
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
