Exciting opportunity for an experienced School Psychologist interested in making a difference in the lives of students and families. This contract position, based near Berryville, VA, offers a unique chance to work with a supportive team and contribute to student success within a highly regarded district. The role is scheduled to begin on July 27th, 2026, and will continue through May 28th, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Virtual options will be considered starting June 24th, 2026.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Virginia Psychologist License required
- Experience as a School Psychologist within K-12 settings preferred
- In-depth knowledge of assessment tools, special education procedures, and best practices in supporting student learning and well-being
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement tailored support plans
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services
- Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and contribute to IEP development
- Offer guidance to school staff and families on psychological and behavioral matters
- Support district-wide initiatives to foster positive school culture and enhance student outcomes
