Two full-time opportunities are available for dedicated professionals interested in working in elementary or middle school environments. This contract role offers a collaborative setting, supportive colleagues, and diverse responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active PEL (Professional Educator License) and Illinois School Psychologist License required
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Experience with psychoeducational evaluations and working alongside multidisciplinary teams is highly valued
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to adapt to diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
Elementary School Assignment:
- Focus on administering psychoeducational evaluations, re-evaluations, and initial assessments
- Serve a student population where 102 students have IEPs (not all are active caseload)
- Work closely with an established occupational therapy team and fellow school psychologists
- Consultation with staff, families, and teachers to ensure student needs are met
- Preferred: Participate in an onsite interview to learn more about the environment
Middle School Assignment:
- Manage caseload according to scheduled re-evaluations and assessment requirements
- Serve a student population with 123 IEPs (not directly reflective of daily caseload)
- Collaborate with other psychologists and special education staff
- Participate in virtual interviews if onsite is not possible
