School Psychologist in Burnsville, MN
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in multiple elementary and middle schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a School Psychologist, you’ll play a vital role in assessing, counseling, and collaborating with staff and families to help young learners thrive. This is an onsite position, allowing for meaningful face-to-face connections within a vibrant community.
Your expertise will be a key resource across several schools, where you’ll assess needs, design effective interventions, and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. If you’re ready for a diverse and engaging experience, this position allows you to make a daily impact from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in School Psychology is required.
- Valid PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license in School Psychology (Minnesota).
- Previous experience supporting elementary and/or middle school students.
- Strong consultation, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with teachers, families, and administrators.
- Comfortable working onsite at multiple school locations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and behavioral evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review IEPs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and emotional wellbeing.
- Participate in problem-solving and intervention planning for diverse student needs.
- Support staff with strategies for crisis response and positive behavioral interventions.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
This contract offers a competitive pay range from $47 to $52 per hour, providing both stability and flexibility throughout the school year.
