Step into a rewarding part-time role as a School Psychologist, supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a well-structured educational environment near Chicago, IL. Your days will be spent on-site from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the assignment running from August 19 through June 3.
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct psychological and academic support to a caseload of approximately 30 students.
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning plans.
- Deliver counseling services, crisis intervention, and consultative services as appropriate.
- Maintain comprehensive student records in compliance with district and state requirements.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification recognized by the State of Illinois.
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Experience working with Pre-K through 8th grade students preferred.
- Familiarity with assessment tools and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school setting.
