Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting assessments, developing interventions, and writing reports in a K-12 school environment
- Strong understanding of special education processes, including IEP development and implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge of counseling techniques and techniques for crisis intervention
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
- Flexible and adaptable to district-wide responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver psychological assessments, interpret results, and provide recommendations for students identified as in need of support
- Consult with teachers, educational staff, and families to develop tailored interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and 504 plans
- Offer individual and group counseling to promote mental health and social-emotional well-being
- Support and guide staff in crisis intervention situations, as well as behavioral management strategies
- Advocate for student needs across all assigned schools within the district
