School Psychologist - Cicero, IL
Step into an engaging role as a part-time School Psychologist supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade in a vibrant educational setting. Your expertise will directly empower a manageable caseload of 30 students in a nurturing, in-person environment. This contract position runs from August 19 to June 3, aligning with the traditional academic calendar and allowing for meaningful breaks throughout the year.
In this position, you’ll work on campus between 8 AM and 3 PM, collaborating closely with educators and families to help each child thrive. You’ll play an essential role in identifying student needs, developing intervention plans, and providing ongoing support that makes a lasting impact.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for the state or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience supporting Pre-K through 8th grade students preferred
- Strong skills in psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling within a school setting
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of approximately 30 students, offering comprehensive psychological services
- Conduct assessments, create evaluation reports, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Design and implement individualized interventions and behavior support plans
- Consult with teachers, families, and administrators to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed
