Make a difference in the lives of K-8 students by providing vital psychological services across two school sites in the Chicago area. This in-person, contract assignment is perfect for an experienced school psychologist committed to supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional well-being. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
- Active, valid IL PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
- Minimum of 2 years’ school-based experience
- Familiarity with core values that emphasize equity, growth, and student success
- Persistent, intentional approach to supporting individual student outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prevent, assess, and identify barriers to learning; provide necessary academic and emotional support for students
- Collaborate as part of school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS); ensure effective screening, evaluation, and individual plan implementation for students with diverse needs
- Maintain high compliance with special education, 504, and MTSS requirements and timelines
- Serve as consultant for MTSS systems, lead interventions for Tier 3 students, and monitor progress
- Prepare, present, and maintain documents, records, and reports within required timelines
- Request and review information from external agencies as needed, maintaining strict confidentiality
- Stay informed on best practices, share knowledge, and provide professional development to psychology teams and stakeholders
- Participate actively in school and network meetings, serve as expert on child development and learning disorders
- Maintain open, professional communication with stakeholders, including parents and staff
With a manageable caseload of 60 students across two supportive locations and a competitive pay rate of $85/hour, you’ll have the resources and flexibility to truly make an impact.
