As a valued team member, you’ll provide essential services to a diverse caseload of elementary-age students, helping them reach their potential both behaviorally and academically. Your expertise will guide students, collaborate with educators, and facilitate a healthy, productive learning environment.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid New York State School Psychologist certification (NY PSYCH)
- Previous experience or internship in an elementary school setting is highly valued
- Solid understanding of assessment and intervention strategies for school-aged children
- Ability to administer cognitive, behavioral, and academic assessments
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments of students
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for the development and monitoring of IEPs
- Provide counseling and interventions focused on student success and well-being
- Offer crisis intervention and support as needed
- Participate in meetings with parents and staff, providing insight and recommendations
