You’ll maintain a consistent schedule, approximately 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM, dedicated to one elementary school and focused on a standard school psychologist caseload.
Qualifications:
- Active New York School Psychologist license (NY PSYCH) required
- Proven experience in elementary school settings preferred
- Solid skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and intervention
- Exceptional communication and team collaboration abilities
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and supporting students of varied backgrounds
- Capacity for compassionate listening and creative problem-solving
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for elementary-aged students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer counseling services and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with faculty, families, and support staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and advocate for students
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
