K-5 Elementary School Psychologist | Collegedale, Tennessee
Make a positive impact in a supportive educational setting by providing vital psychological services to elementary students in grades K–5. As a school psychologist in this full-time, onsite contract position (37.5 hours per week), your expertise will help shape the foundations for student success.
Bring your passion for empowering young learners as you collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families. You will conduct student assessments, participate in evaluation processes, and contribute to planning and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior interventions. Your professional insight will guide ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, ensuring every child receives the attention and accommodations they need to thrive.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in school settings
- Familiarity with interpreting psychoeducational evaluations and writing behavior plans
- Strong knowledge of ARD and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Ability to work fully onsite within school hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an elementary caseload (K–5), conducting evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and review IEPs in coordination with interdisciplinary teams
- Lead and participate in ARD meetings, providing data-driven recommendations
- Create and monitor effective behavior intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential records according to school and legal guidelines
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering expertise for the success of all students
