School Psychologist | Denver, Colorado
Step into an influential role supporting student mental health and educational success as a School Psychologist. This contract opportunity is based near Denver, CO, offering a chance to make a difference in high school settings or on specialized evaluation teams. Assignments are full-time, on-site only, with immediate openings that run through late May 2027.
You’ll have the flexibility to focus on one campus per placement. Positions include serving as a dedicated psychologist or social worker at a high school campus, or as part of an Evaluation/Child Find Team at district elementary schools. Caseloads typically include students with mild to moderate, affective, and significant support needs, all requiring tailored mental health services within their IEPs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Colorado DOE Special Service License (SSL) with a School Psychologist endorsement (Ages 0-21)
- Experience working with special education (SPED) populations is highly valued
- Comfortable providing direct, in-person services (remote/hybrid work is not available)
- Strong assessment, counseling, and collaboration skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus (specifically for Evaluation Team roles)
- Commitment to completing onboarding paperwork and credentials prior to assignment start
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological services to students in assigned schools
- Conduct Child Find and district-level evaluations (for Evaluation Team positions)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Consult with faculty, families, and support staff to promote student well-being
- Design interventions addressing affective, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Maintain thorough, compliant, and confidential records
