School Psychologist - Detroit, Michigan

School Psychologists are needed to provide comprehensive psychological services in a supportive, collaborative environment, just outside Detroit. Engage with dedicated educators, students, and families to deliver assessment, consultation, and intervention services—while also contributing to a positive school culture.
In this contract position, you’ll build meaningful relationships across 1-2 school buildings, as part of a team of three psychologists serving the district. Alongside traditional assessment duties, you’ll have the chance to broaden your impact through participation in mental health initiatives, student support teams, and problem-solving interventions. Your insights and expertise will help shape a strong foundation for student success throughout the district.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification (or willingness and ability to quickly obtain upon offer)
- Background in school psychology; experience in educational settings is highly valued
- Demonstrated proficiency in psychoeducational assessment, intervention, and case management
- Superior communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working exclusively on-site to support students and staff in person
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and interpret results to guide educational planning
- Develop and monitor student intervention plans in collaboration with staff and families
- Support building- and district-wide mental health initiatives beyond traditional testing
- Serve as a resource for educators, administrators, and parents regarding student needs
- Participate in problem-solving teams and promote inclusive practices
