This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The position supports two school locations, allowing you to focus on assessments, consultations, and behavioral interventions alongside a committed multidisciplinary team. No remote or hybrid options are available; your expertise and presence on campus are valued.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Department of Education Certificate
- Valid Virginia Psychology Licensure
- Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Ability to work primarily with assessment and consultation, supporting students across various age groups
- Comfortable collaborating with social workers and other staff when needed
- Must be able to begin the VA Dept. of Social Services check immediately and complete a TB test as part of time-sensitive credentialing
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform psychoeducational assessments and offer consultative support for students and staff
- Participate in FBA/BIP development and implementation
- Provide occasional support for counseling initiatives alongside school social workers
- Contribute to MTSS and other evidence-based intervention programs
- Foster positive relationships across faculty, students, and families
- Maintain meticulous documentation per regulatory guidelines
