School Psychologist - Little Ferry, New Jersey

This full-day contract opportunity involves working with a manageable caseload in a district serving approximately 900 students. As a valued school psychologist, you will provide essential services, supporting both student success and overall well-being.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification for the state of New Jersey
- Experience in K-8 educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with special education regulations and evaluation procedures
- Strong skills in counseling, assessment, and report writing
- Ability to manage cases effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience or interest in handling HIB (Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying) coordination is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of approximately 45-50 students, focusing on PK-8
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations (average of 25 per year) to identify student needs
- Provide counseling services for students, both individually and in small groups
- Lead and organize case management, ensuring all documentation is thorough and up to date
- Potentially coordinate efforts and initiatives around HIB prevention and response
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student plans
- Maintain regular communication with all stakeholders to promote holistic student support
This position offers a stable, full school day schedule from 8:15 am to 3:20 pm, allowing you to build meaningful relationships within a supportive academic community.
