School Psychologist | Elk River, Minnesota
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across varied educational environments in this full-time, contract role for a school psychologist. The position involves working with elementary, high school, and non-public school settings, offering a unique opportunity to provide psychological and counseling services to a diverse student population. Hours for this role are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, ensuring a predictable schedule with evenings free.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be licensed or willing to complete the process for Minnesota’s school psychologist certification.
- Experience providing psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation services in school settings.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and outside agencies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work confidently with a wide age range of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments.
- Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct support and interventions to students both individually and in small groups.
- Consult with teachers and staff regarding academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold ethical and legal standards.
Interview Availability: Interviews will be held on Tuesday, June 16 (all day), and Wednesday, June 17, with appointments available from 8:00-10:30 AM or after 12:00 PM.
