This contract role runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, offering you the chance to work closely with a diverse student body of approximately 1,000 scholars. You’ll join a specialized support team with a focus on meaningful, manageable caseloads—typically between 10 and 20 students—tailored to student needs and enrollment trends. Depending on the year’s distribution, responsibilities may be split between grades K-4 or 5-8, providing a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current School Psychologist certification or license (state and national credentials)
- Prior experience in K-8 settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in educational assessments, IEP development, and direct student support
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational abilities to balance dynamic caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for IEP meetings
- Deliver direct support and counseling services to students
- Consult with teachers and staff to implement effective interventions tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate in developing, reviewing, and monitoring IEPs, ensuring compliance and best practices
- Support school-wide initiatives on social-emotional learning and positive behavioral support
- Maintain detailed records and uphold confidentiality at all times
Your schedule will be consistent and balanced: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, granting you the flexibility to plan personal time while still immersing yourself in a rewarding school community.
