Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology.
- Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement.
- Minimum 2 years of school-based experience.
- Strong alignment with core values focused on equity, integrity, and student-centered work.
- Persistent, intentional approach to promoting success for every child.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing evidence-based practices and evaluation tools.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prevent, assess, and address students’ academic and social-emotional needs to foster access to learning and positive relationships.
- Serve as a valued member of school-based teams (SPED, 504, MTSS) to identify, evaluate, and support students, ensuring full compliance with special education and MTSS requirements.
- Consult on MTSS systems, lead interventions, and oversee progress monitoring of Tier 3 students.
- Prepare and present clear, compliance-driven reports and documentation for meetings such as IEPs and 504s.
- Liaise with families, outside agencies, and team members, maintaining confidentiality and timely communication.
- Share best practices, deliver professional development, and act as a resource for colleagues and stakeholders.
- Remain up-to-date with research to provide high-quality psychological services.
You’ll work 37.5 hours per week across two welcoming Chicago locations, supporting a diverse elementary and middle school caseload.
