- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
- Solid understanding of federal and state special education laws and practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and support services to students and families
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external specialists to foster a supportive learning environment
- Offer crisis intervention and consultation services as needed
- Track and document student progress, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- Attend meetings, workshops, and professional development to maintain current best practices
