Qualifications and Skills
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license required
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, 504 plans, and behavior intervention strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with current state and federal education regulations
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Previous experience working in a school setting highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments
- Provide direct counseling, intervention, and crisis support to students
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and external providers
- Develop intervention plans that address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Participate actively in Special Education and student support team meetings
- Support compliance with IDEA and Section 504 guidelines
- Offer training and guidance on mental health topics to school staff
