School Psychologist in Glen Burnie, MD
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting K-12 students near Glen Burnie in the Baltimore area of Maryland. This position, beginning August 31, 2026, and extending through June 17, 2027, places you on-site for a 37.5-hour workweek. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and families to foster positive educational outcomes while addressing students’ social, emotional, and learning needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Active state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (required for Maryland)
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including House Bill 486 district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Proven experience conducting assessments, evaluations, and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within diverse school communities
- Flexibility to adapt to different caseloads and campus assignments as assigned
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students of various ages, specific caseload and school assignment to be determined
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support the development and implementation of effective interventions and IEPs
- Provide counseling and direct support services to students as needed
- Participate in problem-solving and student support teams to inform best practices
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all local, state, and federal policies
