School Psychologist - Granger, Indiana
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting Pre-K students as a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 academic year. Your primary focus will be on fostering the social-emotional development and school readiness of young learners, including those in the Special Needs and Abilities Preschool (SNAP) and First Step Transition programs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with Pre-K or early childhood populations preferred
- Strong background in behavioral intervention, early childhood development, and consultation models
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (including Psychologists, OTs, PTs, SLPs, Autism Consultants, nurses, and Teachers of Record)
- Experience with evaluation and assessment in Pre-K or special needs settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for engaging both families and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral intervention and support through the First Step Transition program for Pre-K students
- Provide consultation and behavioral coaching to teachers and staff, focusing on positive classroom behavior and social-emotional readiness
- Conduct preschool evaluations, multidisciplinary team assessments, and collaborate with families during two-day testing sessions
- Directly support approximately 70 students, ensuring individualized transition plans and intervention strategies
- Maintain progress monitoring and detailed records of student development and response to interventions
- Participate in family collaboration and caregiver engagement to facilitate smooth student transitions into the school environment
