School Psychologist | Gurnee, Illinois

In this position, you will collaborate closely with students, families, and educators, applying your expertise to help address a wide range of academic, social, and behavioral needs. Weekly hours are guaranteed, though scheduling may vary with different elementary, intermediate, and middle schools on the calendar. The assignment begins August 19, 2026, and continues through June 2, 2027.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid School Psychologist license or certification required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (PreK–8th grade) preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in assessment, counseling, and intervention services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to in-person service delivery; hybrid or remote work not available
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments to identify student needs
- Participate in eligibility meetings, consultations, and IEP development
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services
- Support classroom teachers with student behavioral and academic strategies
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and support staff
- Maintain documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all practices
