Step into a pivotal role empowering student growth and well-being across Muscogee County for the 2026-2027 school year. As an onsite school psychologist, you will play a central part in fostering a positive learning environment and supporting diverse student populations.
This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with potential for additional pre- and post-planning days. Flexibility is available, and part-time arrangements may be considered, depending on the number of hours of availability. The district is seeking seven dedicated professionals for this vital work. Caseloads will be determined in collaboration with each candidate, ensuring age group assignments align with your expertise and preferences. Daily service documentation is required, so comfort with record-keeping is essential.
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia Educator Certificate in School Psychology (required)
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate compassionately with educators, students, and families
- Skilled in assessment, consultation, and intervention planning
- Flexible and adaptive approach to dynamic school environments
- Strong organizational abilities, especially with service logs and daily documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments
- Participate in development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Consult with educators and parents to optimize support for students
- Deliver counseling and intervention services on-site
- Maintain accurate, timely service logs and required documentation
- Take part in multidisciplinary and eligibility team meetings
