Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure for Virginia (or eligibility)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and RTI/MTSS frameworks
- Excellent communication and consultation skills with students, families, and staff
- Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and provide effective interventions
- Adaptability and commitment in addressing the dynamic needs of students
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify student strengths and needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to special education eligibility decisions
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions that promote positive outcomes
- Provide counseling, direct support, and consultation to students, families, and educational teams
