Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current School Psychologist certification or license in Illinois
- Master’s or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting data
- Strong knowledge of special education processes and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral supports
- Passion for helping students of diverse backgrounds achieve success
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services for students
- Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for educational planning
- Participate in problem-solving meetings and serve as a resource for evidence-based interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
