Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school psychologist endorsement
- Experience working with junior high or middle-school-aged students preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, consultation, intervention, and written/oral communication
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, adaptability, and cultural awareness
What You'll Do:
- Conduct evaluations to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ academic and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and monitor interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student support
- Advocate for students’ mental health and facilitate access to resources as needed
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
