Elementary School Psychologist - Hickory, NC

Step into a rewarding contract assignment supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time role (35-40 hours per week) begins August 4th, 2026, and continues through June 1st, 2026. You’ll have the chance to work across three elementary sites, making a meaningful impact on young learners throughout the school year. What we’re looking for:
- Current and valid School Psychologist certification or licensure, with eligibility to work in the state
- Previous experience working in elementary school settings is highly desired
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple sites with effective time management
- Comfortable in hybrid, in-person, and virtual service delivery as needed
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to support student learning
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services to students as appropriate
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Travel among three elementary school sites as part of your caseload
