Are you a credentialed School Psychologist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students? We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to join a supportive school team in the Southern Lansing, Michigan area for the upcoming school year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to use their expertise in assessment, intervention, and consultation while working alongside educators, administrators, families, and related service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret assessment results to identify student needs.
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports and participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to develop effective student support strategies.
- Provide consultation regarding academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs.
- Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and data-driven interventions when appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and use data to guide recommendations and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with Michigan and federal special education requirements.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff while promoting a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan School Psychologist credential/certification or eligibility to obtain prior to the start date.
- Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing comprehensive reports.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous school-based experience preferred.
