Step into a highly impactful role supporting students’ emotional and educational wellbeing for the upcoming semester. As a School Psychologist working full-time in a dynamic educational setting, you’ll provide vital services to students, staff, and families during two consecutive maternity leaves. This onsite contract position runs from late August through mid-December, offering the chance to make a genuine difference before winter break.
Key Qualifications:
- Active School Psychologist certification/licensure in Minnesota
- Demonstrated experience participating in the development and implementation of IEP goals
- Proven ability to develop and monitor Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) using Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
- Solid knowledge of federal and state educational laws and a history of regulatory compliance
- Skilled in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging families in the educational process
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive psychological services, including student evaluation, consultation, and direct interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and guide the creation of individualized, evidence-based goals
- Conduct FBAs and contribute to PBSPs to support positive student behaviors and school climate
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create and sustain student-centered support systems and strategies
- Maintain meticulous records and ensure adherence to relevant local, state, and federal policies and procedures
- Serve as an advocate for students’ mental health and learning needs within an inclusive, diverse school community
