In this position, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of school-based psychological services. You will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote academic achievement, emotional well-being, and optimal development for all students—especially those in general and special education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify students’ strengths, needs, and eligibility for services.
- Provide individual and group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions and support plans.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, helping to shape Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 plans.
- Promote safe, inclusive, and welcoming school communities through preventative programming and crisis response as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to best practices, ethics, and legal guidelines in school psychology.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and relevant licensure.
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in a K-12 setting, with a strong understanding of both general and special education processes.
- Expertise in psychoeducational evaluation, counseling, consultation, and intervention.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Dedication to supporting the academic and emotional well-being of diverse learners.
